Bitumen Membran

Membrane is literally called the membrane or the surrounding layer. In the field of building material, the separator or selectively permeable layer is understood when the membrane is called. In the field of waterproofing, membranes are grouped according to the way waterproof materials are applied to the surface. Waterproof products can be applied in the form of a cover, in liquid form or by spraying with a pressurized system. Due to the method of application, other physical or chemical products can be used in addition to the main components in the insulation product.

Membrane is particularly adapted for use as a protective layer in regions where earthquakes can cause groundwater to impact structural strength.

Bituminous waterproofing membranes are produced by modifying bitumen (asphalt) with polymer based plastics and produced with non-wowen spun-bond polyester or glassfiber reinforcement.

Application areas of Membran

Membrane is used in buildings that are exposed to different loads and weather conditions such as bridges, viaducts, especially on the foundation, curtains, basements, gardens, terraces and roofs of buildings, in order to protect the water against adverse effects caused by water and moisture, and to provide a comfortable waterproofing to living spaces.

What is a Bitumen membrane

The product is employs asphalt or thermoplastic elastomer （styrene – butadiene block copolymer sbs）, modified asphalt impregnated base, both sides are coated with elastomer or plastic bitumen coverage layer,upper surface fine sand , mineral grains（membrane）material or coverage polyethylene film, lower surfaces fine sand or coverage from polyethylene membrane made waterproofing materials.
